Scarminkel's 30th Anniversary Celebrations May 09
A group of 31 drummers, dancers and supports spent a long weekend in Sente to help celebrate Scarminkel's 30th Anniversary and were one of three music and dance ensembles invited to the weekend celebration. The Band was a guest at a civc reception in the City Hall, Kortrijk and joined in numerous concerts and performances. One of the highlights was playing at the Menin Gate in Ypres where the dance groups laid wreaths. The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a war memorial dedicated to the commemoration of British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War I and whose graves are unknown.
