The band has long lasting links with a group from Belgium called Scarminkel. This friendship has lasted over 30 years and has resulted in numerous trips to Belgium and they to Huntly.
Our band has also visited Kronach in Bavaria to take part in a ceremony to celebrate the town’s 1000th anniversary.
We have been invited to northern France to take part in a ceremony to commemorate the many pipers that lost their lives or were wounded in the First World War.
There have been trips to Spain in earlier years as well as a recent short trip to Paris to take part in a Pan Celtic festival.
Nowadays the band travels with a group of Highland dancers and sometimes fiddlers and accordion players. This increases the variety of our entertainment and is always enjoyed by our audience.
Travels abroad are always welcomed by the band and enriches our experiences.
